Best.Weekend.Ever

Sisters weekend out, may have been the best, most relaxing weekend in history (well, since the LAST sisters reunion).  We met in Phoenix this time and stayed at the Sumpter residence.  What awesome hosts, and generous sisters I have.  Our activities consisted of talking, going out to dinner, talking, staying up late, chatting, visiting temples, botanical gardens, picnic, visiting with some dear cousins, chatting, lazing by the pool, pizza place complete with an ENORMOUS pipe organ, visiting, eating donuts (Lindsey family favorite), great food and better company!  Steve (Karen's hubby) was so patient and so nice to deal with our estrogen loaded weekend.  It always suprises me how well we all get along (although it shoulnd't because, we ALWAYS do).  There is no drama in my family and that is what I think I love most about them!!!!!

I missed the kids, but only a little bit.  They were so busy with Aaron, they didn't even have time to miss me!  What a blessed mom, sister, and wife I am!  Aaron was a GREAT Mr. Mom!  Until 2 years my sisters!!

Happy 7th Wes!

Wes had another Birthday! We had a mini party here with some friends the Sharps. Do you think he is happy he got a basketball?

Water bottle for the boy!

We went to Roller Valley (skating rink) to celebrate. It was QUITE comical watching 10 little boys "trying" to roller skate. We got a good laugh. I think everyone had a great time despite all the falls and biffs.

Syd and her friend trying to help teach how to skate.

Some of the crew...good buddies!

Have you ever seen a happier boy?

Pizza time!

Present time!

Cake pig out time!!!

Happy Birthday sweet Wes! We love your charming personallity and your thoughtfulness!!

Teeth and Snow

Wes FINALLY lost his 1st tooth last week. I think it was only loose for a week or two and he bit into a corn dog stick and jolted it loose even more. Then dad saved the day and pulled it out!

We haven't had a ton of snow this season, so when it does snow, the kids take advantage. Syd and Wes built this *almost* by themselves (dad helped a bit).

Syd's 9th

It's been a while since Syd was able to have a friend party, so this was the year. She invited 13 friends, and 13 of those friends showed up! Talk about a mad house! It sure was fun though. Aaron took all the boys and went to a friends house for the night (well until 10:00). So that was nice to not have to try and tame the boys with all the screaming girls.

For the party we ate pizza, played games, opened presents, ate dirt and worms (oreos and pudding) and watched girl movies. During the movie, we had a hair station and a nail painting station. Every girl got her hair braided as well as their nails painted. I think it was a smashing success. I couldn't have pulled it off without my BFF Emily b/c she helped me execute the WHOLE thing. She was in charge of the hair, and went on a braiding frenzy. She rocks. And Happy Birthday to my sweet 9-year-old!!!! Double digits next year girl!
