Not So Happy Birthday...
Why are so many kids born in October and November????? My kids have been to 10 (YES. TEN) Birthday parties in the past 8 weeks...do you know what that means? We are averaging more than 1 a week! Do you know what else it means? I have to go to the store EVERY TIME with 3 kids and buy a crummy presents that the birthday kid probably won't like any way. I am going broke!!! You know what else? I have to buy wrapping paper, or a bag to put that present in and then actually wrap it. I am glad my kids get to go to parties and have a blast but TEN!??? EXCESSIVE in my book!
I guess there are so many b-day's because 9 months before, it is Valentines day! Who knows? All I know is we are just partied out. Literally! This picture is how my kids and I feel about it!
PS this is a pic of Syd a LONG time ago when she was "cutting out" her naps. The poor girl would go to sleep everywhere, you like how her arm looks broken?

I have never heard of so many birthday parties! I know what you mean about buying presents! UGh!!!!
oh man, that was us last spring... if anyone else brought another invitation home... i would have thrown it straight in the trash!... too much!
So funny. We seem to have the birthday party problem in April and May. I guess I can't talk because I have a birthday kid in Apr.
I have thought that same thing about presents that the kids don't really like a lot.
We found a good present is a bag of candy. The moms probably don't love us for that, but it's pretty cheap and the kids always love it. And I'm all about recycled bags, even if they look recycled. Also you can buy plain bags in a pack at Target or somewhere for much cheaper.
You probably know all this already though, so I'll sush now:-)
I love your Valentine's Day theory! So funny!
I can't talk either, Lainey's bday was the 13th....
Shan, I'm going to give you some advice my D.A.R.E. teacher gave to me, JUST SAY NO!!! We can't make it because we have plans. Even if your plans are to sit at home, those are still plans!
Lainey has only had 2 birthday parties. We decided on an every other year rotation, but we might do every third year because I hate getting all those toys!!!!! It makes her feel entitled and greedy and she doesn't play with half of them. Down with birthday parties!
