The Middle Child of Mine...

I am not one to brag about my kids because I think that every parent thinks their own children are smart, funny, brilliant etc, but: Be Ye Warned, I am going to brag!!!!

Wes just turned 4 a few weeks ago and he learned how to ride a 2 wheel bike! I took his training wheels off and helped balance him, but then he did the rest. We went to the park and practiced. Within minutes he picked it up and then he rode around the WHOLE trail at the park all by himself. I was shocked.

This type of thing more his older sister's mentality to pick up on things so quickly. Syd taught herself to whistle, snap, blow a bubble with bubble gum, she picked up on writing and spelling at an early age. But Wes beat the pants off of her at learning how to ride a bike! The poor middle child gets a bad rap sometimes, but he is dang awesome in every way and I hope he knows that we (his parents) know it! Good job little dude!

Cameron just recently learned how to ride with training wheels also, while my dad was in town one day he tried to help him but Cameron just couldn't get the hang of it after an hour...but low and behold the next day he was out front playing with the neighbor kids and he was out there riding all by himself and grinning form ear to ear when I walked out

Awwww, we love Wes (and your other 2 kids...um... what were there names again? lol) too! Good job on the bike riding. And cute pictures too!

The kid down the street just turned 3 in Dec. and learned to ride a bike this week. He had been BEGGING his dad to take off his training wheels for weeks. No sooner did they come off than he was riding. I don't think he ever even fell. He rides like a pro. Wow! These boys!

I think I was 10 before I even had a bike to ride. And then it was a girls bike (how humiliating). Come to think of it, it was a FULL SIZE girls bike at that. I think it cost a whole $10 used. But it was the only one available my parents could find. It was an ugly maroon color to boot. And it was heavier than a boat anchor so when I crashed and it fell on top of me I could've cried. I was a middle child, too. Kids these day are so "lucky" to get bikes their size with training wheels!
